“La Dimora degli ulivi”,is a holiday apartment in a villa owned by Salvo and Rosalba. It is located at 17/A Via Professore Russo in Sant’Alfio. The villa lies in a peaceful oasis surrounded by centuries-old olive trees, with a wisteria framing the entrance. At 670 metres above sea level, the property enjoys spectacular views: to the south-east, over Riposto’s marina and the entire Ionian coast, from Calabria to the Gulf of Augusta; and to the north-west, towards Mount Etna. It is 45 km from Catania Fontanarossa Airport, 20 km from Taormina and 10 km from Riposto marina. Rifugio Citelli can be reached in just 20 minutes, while Rifugio Sapienza is 27 km away. Set between the crystal-clear waters of Sicily’s Ionian coast and the magnificent landscapes of Mount Etna, La Dimora degli Ulivi is an ideal base for discovering the area’s rich cultural and natural heritage. The famous Hundred Horse Chestnut Tree is only a five-minute walk away. Recognised by UNESCO as a Messenger of Peace Tree, it is considered one of the largest trees in the world and has stood beneath the volcano for around four thousand years. The nature trails of the Monti Sartorius are about 15 minutes away, while the ski area of Piano Provenzana can be reached in approximately 30 minutes. Guests can also explore the beautiful beaches of Torre Archirafi, Fondachello, Stazzo, Pozzillo, Santa Tecla, Santa Maria la Scala, Letojanni and Giardini Naxos, as well as Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano. The accommodation occupies the upper floor of the owners’ villa and is reserved exclusively for guests. All rooms are spacious and bright. It includes one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds that can be converted into a double bed, a living room with a single sofa bed, a bathroom with twin washbasins, shower and bathtub, a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven and refrigerator, and two large terraces facing east and north. The terraces are furnished for guests to relax, and a wraparound balcony offers views of Mount Etna. The bedrooms have independent heating, air conditioning and cable TV. A gentle hillside breeze keeps summer evenings pleasantly cool, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment.
